STAY SEATED

Swing the apparatus around with a super ball in the cup. STAND CLEAR OF ANYONE ELSE AROUND YOU. Swing it just slow enough so the
ball does not fall out.

Take whatever measurements you need to calculate the centripetal acceleration of the ball in the cup. ____________.

How many g's is this? _________g's.

ANSWER

The centripetal acceleration is aclacalculated from Ac = V2/ R. "Ac" is the centripetal acceleration. "V" is

the velocity which is calculated from V = [2(pi)R]/T. Where "pi" is 3.14 and "T" is the period of motion.
