Balloon Lift Contest

GOAL: To add an amount of tape to a helium filled balloon such that the balloon takes the MOST amount of time to rise 5 feet .

The balloon will be supplied by the science department at the contest. Students will have only 10 seconds to add the appropiate amount of tape to the string hanging from the balloon.

POINTS:
Students will receive
1. 5 points for entering.
2. 10 points for having a balloon that is slower than 50% of the entries.
3. 15 points for having a balloon that is slower than 75% of the entries.
4. 20 points for having a balloon that is slower than 90% of the entries.
5. 25 points for having a balloon that is slower than 95% of the entries.
